About Paul

Paul helps people progress to better states of health and fitness.

He treats injuries and helps you to train better. At the heart of all this, his main passion is in assessing and teaching movement and correcting imbalances of strength and flexibility. Getting the body to work as it should.

Paul studied physiotherapy at the University of Keele in Staffordshire where he also studied exercise physiology. He has since continued pursuing his interest in sports training and physical rehab and conditioning.

Paul's view is that physiotherapy should be about more than treating pain and restoring movement. It should seemlessly follow on and facilitate improvement of movement and function as far as needed, right the way through to elite sports performance.

Paul has treated, and continues to treat, people from all levels of physical activity from recreational walkers to international level athletes - what he enjoys most is seeing people improve.

In his spare time Paul enjoys playing piano (where he has achieved his Grade 8), cycling and close-up magic. He is a keen runner and enjoys both racing and running for leisure. In 2013 he ran the Three Peaks Challenge in a total time of 19.5 hours.

About the clinic

Eastbourne Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic was set up by Paul in 2006, and has been in Lushington Road since the beginning.

We have a strong emphasis on helping people rehabilitate to a better level than they were even prior to visiting. This comes from Paul's interest and experience in exercise, athletics and the belief that people should know how to help themselves best at home. We all have the ability to improve.

The practice has grown from word-of-mouth and referals from local doctors and sports clubs.
